Master of Christian Ministries Course Descriptions
Courses have been chosen from all of the areas of the Emmanuel curriculum, but with specific emphasis in Christian ministry.
  • Biblical Studies (15 credit hours)

    Courses will cover content in both the Old Testament and New Testament as students learn about biblical interpretation, exegesis and theology as it relates to ministry application.
  • Christian Ministry (15 credit hours)

    Courses will cover the specialized ministry areas of preaching, counseling, leadership/administration, education and world mission to assist students in refining ministry skills.
  • Church History and Christian Theology (12 credit hours)

    Courses will cover the history of the church and her theologies with special emphasis on the Stone-Campbell tradition and the doctrines of Christ.
  • Spiritual Formation/Mentored Ministry Experience (6 credit hours)

    Courses will provide students with formational experiences and conversations about ministry.

This degree was created with specific courses in mind. However, students may petition the faculty for course substitution. The Academic Dean’s office will be able to answer these questions once you have been admitted into the program.
